Sweater Party 2011

Mama and Dada had their annual "Christmas Sweater Party" last night. There were some interesting outfits that people wore (pictures at the end of this blog). However, since this blog is all about me I will tell you about my night. :-) I looked adorable and fashionable in my reindeer dress from Grammy and Pappy. I wore this dress in particular because I knew that my friend Carson would be wearing a reindeer sweater. Our parents are already talking about our future wedding someday. Hee! Hee! Not only was Carson here, but I also had lots of other friends who came to see me...
Ready for the party in my reindeer dress!

Waitng patiently in my rocking chair.
*I have 2 pigtails even though it just looks like one. Ha ha!

Dada (looking a little creepy may I add), Andy, Aubrey
and me.
Grammy and Pappy sent me a quad for Christmas. It's been put together for a while now (remember me playing in that big box a couple of blogs ago?) and has been hidden behind the Christmas tree. However, since all of my friends were here, they decided that I should share and I went for many rides around the house...
Aubrey and me.

Trey was here too. He's still too small for the quad so
we took a picture on the couch instead.

Carson and I took a picture too...

...and he sneaks a kiss!

Aren't we so cute in our reindeer outfits?

Carson and I also enjoyed a ride around the house.

My friend Zack was here too. He's also too small for the
quad so we enjoyed playing with my stacking blocks.
What a fun fun night! Just like last year, I was a party girl and had fun hanging out with everyone. I was very pleasant and enjoyed being around people. I went to bed around 10. Hee! Hee!
As promised, some pictures of the sweater outfits:
Lisa, Brad, Stephanie, Steven, and Emily

Mama, Kathy, Matt, and Dada.

Brett, Jen, Dada, Otto, and Michele.

Oh...and the coolest sweater was Brad's! It had Christmas
ornaments on it and LIGHTS that actually blinked.
It was pretty fascinating to watch while I enjoyed my milk.
Good times! Good times!

Just like Mama & Dada

I have turned into quite the walker and the talker!
Mama recently got a new phone and gave her old one to me! It lights up and everything!
I like to walk around the living room and "talk" on my phone.....just like Mama & Dada! ;-)
I also have a new found love for scarves....Mama has been wearing hers lately and now I like to imitate her and try to put in on.
Another thing that I have imitated that has not yet been captured on video is that I like to use the brush from the dust pan and pretend to sweep the kitchen floor! :-)

Happy St. Nicholas Day

Soooo it's a good thing that St. Nicholas brought my present this morning because my behavior at daycare would have earned me a lump of coal.  :-(
Apparently I thought it was a good idea to pull my friend Kenya's hair. She didn't like it so much and decided to bite me! I also thought it was a good idea to pull my friend William's hair. He's younger than me so he didn't bit me. I will try to be nicer tomorrow. :-)
Here I am checking out my play-doh from St. Nicholas

I liked smushing it down with my hand.

Here is the evidence of my daycare behavior today. Oopsie!

Here are also some more pictures from the past couple of days:
Fun with Mama's scarf!
As promised, pictures from the Christmas photo shoot:
Checking out Dada...my favorite person
in the world right now. Mama is pretty cool
too but I prefer to say "Dada" ALL of the time!
*On a side note: When Dada picked me up today I called out "Dada". I love him! :-)
Cheesing for the camera!

Smiling at Mama

She's sooo silly!

Checking out some Christmas ornaments.

Can I eat these things? (because I really
do like to eat absolutely everything).
P.S. Happy happy birthday to my Great Aunt Petra! I love and miss you lots!

Christmas Spirit

This weekend Mama, Dada, and I were busy getting into the Christmas spirit. On Friday night we enjoyed "Christmas in Davidson" with the Mehall's and on Saturday we went to the Otto's for a "Turtleneck Sweater Party". We also had a fun Christmas photo shoot and got our Christmas cards ordered. You can see the card in the blog below. Mama and Daddy will get $10 off of their next order just for posting their card on my blog. :-) Mama will post some of the photo shoot pictures in the next couple of days...there are so many and she has to sort through her favorites. Here are some pictures from our weekend:
Dressed up in my Christmas outfit
and ready to go meet the Mehall's.
Ho! Ho! Ho!

Lounging in the high chair and enjoying some dinner with
Aubrey before heading to Christmas in Davidson.

The adults enjoyed some hot chocolate.
I didn't get any. :-(

Christmas tree.

Picture with Mama.

Aubrey and me.

Whew! That was tiring! I stayed up way past my bedtime
but did not fall asleep while in Davidson.

Dressed in my turtleneck and fancy Christmas socks for the
party at the Otto's.

Family picture time!
I also have to report my current likes and dislikes because I am 14 months old now!! Can you believe it?!? Mama and Aunt Michelle are only 14 months apart so if Mama would have followed in Oma's footsteps there would be a baby any day now. I'm not ready to share them with anyone just yet. ;-)
Likes: Trying to feed myself with a fork and a spoon (I am pretty stubborn), splashing during bath time, feeding Sidney (I drop food from my high chair...we are becoming pretty good friends now-a-days), climbing in and out of my rocking chair, I love my milk (water will do and I am not a big fan of juice), and playing with my toys. I am a very content baby overall.
Dislikes: Getting picked up from daycare. I always give Mama and Dada a smile (I am happy to see them) but I just don't want to leave. I have all of my friends there and lots of toys. As soon as they try to take me I cry. Can't they just stay there and play with us? ;-)
In other news: My walking skills are improving daily (see videos in previous post) and I have 12 teeth! My four molars in the back have broken through and are pretty much grown in.

Advent Calendars

Let the count down to Christmas begin!! I have not one, but two, advent calendars. Every day, I get to check them and find a special surprise inside. The first picture is the advent calendar that Mama had when she was a little girl. The second advent calendar is a present from Oma and Opa. I get to open a little door each day and find a small playmobile toy inside. It will be fun to check them every day. :-)
My advent calendar that used to belong to Mama.

Let's see what's inside!

A new hair clip and a Gerber lil' biscuit.

Let me inspect this biscuit...

Oh yeah! Delicious!!!

Here is a close up picture of my second advent calendar.

Mama and I open up the first door.

It's a little red mail box!

Mama and me.

You may have noticed my new hair do....Dada picked me up from daycare today and my hair was done, thanks to Ms. Angie! :-) Mama added the white hair bow that was in the advent calendar. Here is one more picture to show off my hair...

Look who's walkin' (almost)

Today after work, Mama decided to try to capture some of my walking on video. I'm getting pretty good at it. My longest stretch has been across the living room and yesterday I even stopped, changed direction, and didn't fall! The first two videos are very short because I lost my balance quickly. Mama especially loves the second one when I fall and make the sound effect! Hee Hee! Happy viewing!
