Splishin' and a Splashin'

This week we finally went to our neighborhood pool. I'm not a big fan of the big pool because I can't touch the bottom. I held on really tight to Daddy. I did like the kiddy pool and Ms. Angie and all of her friends were there so that was fun. Mama decided to let me try out the pool float that they bought for Hayden and it worked! Hopefully I'll get braver in the water the more I go swimming.

Soooo I like to kick the pink ball at Hayden when he is in his excersaucer. I probably shouldn't kick it so hard or at his face but he thinks it is hilarious!! Mama took a few short videos. Don't worry, he didn't get hurt and it really is a soft ball.  Hee Hee!

Today we went to lunch at Brixx in Birkdale. Mama thought ahead and packed my bathing suit so that I could enjoy the splash fountain.....

Hayden tried another new food today....peas! He liked them much more than I did on my first try. He ate the entire container!

Mama cleaned out a lot of Hayden's clothes that don't fit anymore and came across a box of my old clothes. She found my sleep sack from Aunt Michelle that she sent when I was about a year old. It was really long and still fits! Hayden put on his sleep sack too (also from Aunt Michelle). These pictures are for you....

A-y-l-a spells Ayla! Today I was playing with sidewalk chalk and I told Mama to look over because I spelled my name....all by myself! You might need to use a little bit of imagination but you can see it! :) Mama thinks this deserves a blog all to itself!

Daddy spelled "daddy" for me and I wrote it all by myself.
Pretty good, huh?

Braids & Bouncing

Ah Summer time! It's so nice having Mama and Daddy home. I love spending time with them. Mama is perfecting braiding my hair and Daddy and I get into shenanigans at night time when we play upstairs in my play room. Here are pictures to prove it....

Hayden had so much fun in Nina's bouncer that Mama and Daddy decided to go out and buy him one today. Thanks for cousin Paulette for always thinking about us and giving us Toys R Us gift cards...we cashed them in for this fun toy....

Mama recorded some videos of us playing. I accidently smack him in the face in the first video. Oopsie! If Mama had kept recording you would have seen him crying. I'll try to be more gentle. :)

Every night when Mama gets Hayden ready for bed, Daddy and I play. We normally play trains or tea party but today we got into shenanigans....I figured out that I fit inside of my kitchen. Hee Hee! The door even closes all the way! I love my time with Daddy every night.

Father's Day & Food

We celebrated Father's Day yesterday and it was Daddy's first Father's Day with me! We wanted to go to "The Egg Cafe" in Davidson but it was so busy! We ended up going to Restaurant X and it was delicious. At least that's what I hear since I'm not allowed to eat all that fun food yet! Hee Hee! Later on we went to the Otto's for some swimming fun and then we hung out with them at their house. I loved the water but Daddy wasn't able to get a good picture of me. Don't worry, there are still a ton of pictures from yesterday and a whole bunch more from today!

Today we had "fun with food". Ayla enjoyed some raspberries and discovered that they fit on her fingers. I got to try carrots for the first time! Yum! I ate the entire container (Mama's plan is to make her own baby food for me but for right now the Gerber stuff is easier. She'll start making it when I can have more than one food at a time.)

I had to watch Ayla, Mama and Daddy eat their dinner.

I may as well prop up my leg and get comfy, right?

Here are the videos of me trying carrots for the first time. I was a little cranky and couldn't get the food in my mouth quick enough! Of course, Ayla had to feed me again too. :)

I'm looking forward to eating carrots again and then starting to incorporate more veggies and fruits into my diet.
