Birthday Weekend Getaway - Day 3

We explored another trail....well....kind of two trails. That's Ayla exploring a "trail" by our cabin. We went outside after breakfast and ventured up. Mommy was not too happy because it was a little steep and slippery because of the snow. I had already come down but Mommy snapped this picture of Ayla.
The real trail we explored was called "The Road to Nowhere"

The road ends and you have to walk through a tunnel to get
to the trails.

It was fun to walk through.

Daddy and Ayla walk much quicker than Mommy and me.
Do you see them?

Brownie came along for this hike and I wore my mask
to keep my face warm.

I asked Mommy to take a picture of me under this tree.

We enjoyed the hot tub again after our hike.

We picked up dinner in town again and got our picture
taken with this moose, since we stayed at the
Moose Head Lodge.

The moose was wearing a mask too!

We got some treats at a chocolate shop. Ayla picked out this
Harry Potter chocolate frog.

I got these huge chocolate coins.

We enjoyed some more birthday cake.

Silly Daddy and Ayla.

Our last view of the mountains before we left.

We had a great weekend and would love to go back some time.

Birthday Weekend Getaway- Day 2

We woke up to snow on Saturday! We enjoyed some breakfast at the cabin and then went to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to explore some trails and waterfalls.

We even had some hot chocolate with breakfast.

Yum!

Pluto liked the snow too.

Snow selfies with Mommy.

This little area was next to our cabin.

Waterfall #1

Mommy's long hair looks like a scarf. Hahaha!

Family selfie!

So many fun picture opportunities!

Waterfall #2

Waterfall #3

We stopped at the Train Museum in Bryson City.

We even completed a scavenger hunt where we had to look
for different items around the track.

When we got back to the cabin we played in the snow
for a little bit.

After some fun in the snow, we enjoyed the hot tub!

We went into town to pick up dinner and took our
picture with the train.

That was the driveway up to our cabin. We decided to keep
the car parked at the bottom and walk up!

It wasn't ideal snow for making a snowman, but we managed
to make a little one.

Hayden let him borrow his hat and scarf and named him
Buddy.
