Happy Birthday, Aubrey

Aubrey had a super fun birthday party this weekend! We celebrated at a horse farm and got to paint horseshoes and ride horses!! I was even brave and rode on my own for a little bit. Here are some pictures from the party...
We loved petting the horses.

Hayden and Maddox

Time to paint horseshoes.

Staying Sane During the Hurricane

We had a super long weekend due to Hurricane Florence. School was cancelled on Thursday and Friday because some schools were being used as shelters. School was still cancelled for today. We were lucky and didn't have much damage. It rained A LOT but we never lost power and we were super lucky with the trees in our backyard. Here are some pictures from this past weekend....
We started the weekend off by making
Chocolate Chip Cookies.

We love to help.

Licking the batter is our favorite part!

Yum!

Next up......slime! We've had this kit for
months!

It sure kept us busy and I LOVED it!
Ayla drew Oma's little red car and I colored it
and drew the people. A lot of people sure do fit
in it!

Next up....Memory!

Daddy joined in on the fun too!

Family selfie time!

Ayla won!

We were lucky and did not lose power. We did watch A LOT of TV. One of our current favorite TV shows is "Ducktales" Here I am singing part of the theme song....Life is like a hurricane, here in Duck-burg....Ducktales! Woo-ooo!
Sunday morning breakfast!
Here are some pictures from some flooding in the neighborhood. Mommy got these from Facebook...

The sun is shining again and we went out for a little walk this morning. We are thankful that the hurricane didn't do much damage in our area and are thinking about the people who weren't so lucky.

Second Grade!

Last Monday I started second grade! I loved my first week of school and my teacher, Ms. Smith, is super nice! We took our traditional "First Day of School" pictures but we have been so busy that we haven't had time to post them. We also have to catch up on some random end of summer photos. We will try to stay consistent with the blog but we sure do get busy!
Second grade!!

We have always taken a picture in front of
the school at this exact spot.

A parent at school made this really cool photo op!

Mommy wanted her picture taken too.
Hayden kept the first week of school interesting and decided to give himself a haircut at BeBe and Pappy's one day. It was only one snip "in the middle of his head" and you can hardly tell. Mommy decided to interview him about it and took two videos. Hahaha!
"I tut my hair in the middle of my hair."
Here are a few random "end of summer break" pictures....
Mommy and I got pedicures before school
started.

We finally made it up to the Mehall's for our first and only
swim of the summer.

Hayden got a new dog, Biscuit.
We have officially lost count of how many
dogs he now owns!
Stay tuned for more blogs to come. The next couple of weekends are busy and we have lots planned.
Love and miss you all!
