Learning Sign Language

We all know that I LOVE Dada's I-Pad. Mama recently downloaded a new app that her friend Kathy suggested...it teaches me sign language. I love watching it and have learned most of the signs that were on the free app. I think that Mama and Dada need to buy the full version so that I can learn more words. Here are two videos of me signing. I am a little distracted because I am too busy playing on the I-pad. Heehee!

This was my first full week at daycare. I had a great time and have been enjoying Ms. Angi's cooking which included a steak fajita and salmon. She also gave me a German chocolate cookie when I was there by myself. I am now the only girl at daycare so I am the "Queen Bee" and Busy Bee Daycare!

I am looking forward to spending all weekend with Mama, Dada, and Courtney!



Carousel & Rock Climbing

Summer has officially come to an end....teacher workdays started again yesterday which means that I went back to daycare. On Wednesday we went to Carowinds for one final summer hurrah (I'm sure we will still go on the weekends) and yesterday we went back to the Whitewater Center to hang out and listen to some music.

Courtney came to Carowinds on Wednesday and we also met the Otto's and the Peterman's. Colleen and Michele don't go on roller coasters so they watched me while everyone else went on one and I went to Snoopy Land with them. Mama gave the okay for me to go on a ride as long as they took some pictures. Well....bummer for her because she left the memory stick in the computer and we missed the pictures of my first carousel ride. Luckily Courtney had her camera and I-phone so we re-enacted the carousel ride. :-)

Last night I had fun at the Whitewater Center. I explored the little climbing wall and enjoyed collecting rocks and bringing them back to Dada, the Otto's, Cara and Cary.

Mama has been receiving emails from Shutterfly for 101 Free Prints. She finally ordered some and has been updating my photo album. I enjoyed looking at the pictures and pointing to everyone and having Mama tell me who it was.



Shenanigans!

Wow! It's been a while since the last blog....sorry followers! :-) Summer is winding down and Mama has been busy busy! Last week she had a math workshop for 4 days, which meant I got to spend all day with Dada! She has to go back to work tomorrow. Dada doesn't have to go back until Thursday so that means more quality time with him this week. I wonder what kind of shenanigans I can get into while hanging out with him. Heehee! I got into a pretty big one last Sunday while Mama was in the shower. Soooooo....here's the deal. When crayons are left out unattended, it's free reign, right? I decided that the kitchen floor needed just a little splash of color as evidenced by the pictures below.....

Good thing that there is a thing called a Magic Eraser, which took my beautiful art work right off. Note to Mama and Dada: Don't leave crayons unattended. :-)

I actually did behave with Dada last week and he actually got one of my old toys working again. We had lots of fun playing with it and I am looking forward to next week when I get to hang out with him again!

 In other news....Courtney is back! Yay! She has been staying with us and it's been great having her at our house. We went to the Flying Saucer with her on Friday. She was giving me french fries...yum  yum!

Yesterday Mama, Dada, and I went to their friend's house for a Mexican Fiesta Party. Lisa had bought mustaches for the occasion and I was quite the trooper and let her friend Michelle put one on me. I actually kept it on for a few minutes!

22 Months Old!

I am 22 months old today! Wow!

Current likes: Dada's I-Pad! Mama and Dada decided to download some new apps (some of which I saw at my cousin Mallory's house) and now I don't want to share it with Dada anymore. Heehee! I especially love the songs. I currently like: Twinkle, Twinkle, The Wheels on the Bus, If You're Happy and You Know It, The Hokey Pokey, and Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer (Hey! It was on one of the song apps!). I love swimming and I really enjoyed eating Whoopie Pies with my Pappy while we were in Maryland! :-) Oh! Story and Music Time at the library was lots of fun with Mama this summer!

Current dislikes: Sharing the I-pad. I don't like anybody's help with anything...I am Ms. Independent!

In other news: I got Sidney in trouble with the vet. Oopsie! She had her yearly check-up and the vet told Dada that Sidney has gained too much weight. I guess that means I have to stop feeding her all of my goldfish crackers and other snacks.

Vocabulary update: I will try to repeat almost everything. My new favorite word is....MINE! Anything and everything is now "Mine!" I also like to point to all of the cars and trucks when we are in the car and shout out "Car!" (and sometimes "truck" when Mama and Dada help me....or else everything is a "car")
