Peas, Please!

Today I tried peas for the first time.



What is that green stuff?: Sure! I'll give it a try:

Eww. Not so tasty! I'll try turning my head so I don't have to eat any more or maybe try swatting the spoon away (that's why Mommy has a hold of my hand):

I think more ended up on my face than in my mouth:

Peas, please. Maybe it should be "Peas, no thank you!" :-) We'll give it another try again. I've got a 50/50 chance of liking them because Mommy loves peas and Daddy can't stand them.

Toes Taste Yummy!

Toes taste yummy.....or at least they would if I could get them in my mouth. That's my latest thing to try to do while I get my diaper changed. :-)

I also have these cool dogs that go on my car seat. They are from Oma and Opa. I am getting so big now that I don't need the other extra padding so Mommy decided it was finally time to use these.

Great Visit

I had to show off my leg warmers while they were here. One of the parent's in Mommy's class made them for me. I think that they are super stylish! (I also love my Daddy!):

On Sundy we went to Concord Mills to do some shopping. My Great Aunts found some good deals. Shopping sure does make you hungry though so we took a little break in the food court:

Learning German!

Here is a video of me learning German with my Great Aunt Ulla. She has been singing this song a lot and I LOVE it! Great Aunt Sabine loves it too (you see her in the background). :-) The song is about baking a cake. More pictures and videos to come soon. We've been having lots of fun with the three aunts these last couple of days.

Great Aunts Visit

On Wednesday, February 16th we went to the airport to pick up visitors from Germany again. Mommy's aunts, my great aunts, are visiting for a couple days. I didn't go to daycare the past two days but instead have enjoyed lots of snuggle time and hugs and kisses.

Mmmm! Cereal!

Today I tried Rice Cereal for the first time:
*I kept trying to grab the spoon.
*I kept turning my head.
*Most of the cereal ended up on my bib. :-)

Overall, it went well though and I am looking forward to trying it again.

Let me grab that bowl and spoon and feed myself. ;-) Not so sure about the spoon: I think I like it:

Hand Picked

Exactly one year ago today Mommy and Daddy found out that Mommy was pregnant. The story about Mommy taking the test is a pretty neat one though. February 10th, was her PapPap's birthday so Mommy decided it would be a great day to take the pregnancy test. As she waited for the results, she prayed out loud and said, "PapPap, if I'm pregnant, pick me out a good one." At that second she looked down and the test came back postive! My Great Aunt Donna saw this onesie a few weeks after hearing this story and had to buy it for me. I really think that I was "hand picked" by PapPap in heaven. :-)

I have two birthmarks. One is on my thigh and the other one is on my cheek. At the hospital, Mommy's friend Leah said that it looked like someone kissed my cheek. Mommy thought so too and decided that it's "PapPap's kiss" on my cheek. :-)

It has lightened up a bit, but it's still there:

First Fever

Last night Mommy thought that I felt a little bit warm so she took my temperature. It was 100.4
Nothing too alarming, but it was a fever, which meant that I couldn't go to daycare. Mommy is hoping that it's just a reaction to the shots that I got yesterday and that it will go away soon. I've taken two naps so far today (one in Mommy's arms and one in the swing), which I usually don't do. I have still been a pretty happy baby though. Here is a video of me sleeping in the swing. Turn up the volume to hear me snoring! ;-)

Off the chart!

I had my 4 month check up today. Everything went well and the doctor once again said that I am perfect. ;-) I was a happy baby until those dreaded shots!! I got three of them again. However, I did take it a lot better than last time and only cried for about a minute afterwards.
Here are my stats:

Weight: 14 lbs. 8 oz (75%)
Head: 16 1/2 inches (75%)
Length: 27 inches (Off the chart!!! Bigger than 95%. That's where it cuts off)

4 months old!

I'm four months old today! Time sure is flying!! Here are some of my current likes:

*Rolling over from my back to my stomach. The second Mommy lays me down I'm rolling over...I just have to learn how to roll from my stomach to my back. I get mad when I can't get back. :-)
* I'm still enjoying baths.
* Sitting in the Bumbo chair.
* Mommy and Daddy. I'm still a Mama's girl but enjoy hanging out with Daddy for longer stretches at a time. ;-)
* Being greeted by Sidney every day when I come home. I think she likes me more now too, especially when I am rolling over. Maybe I can teach her that trick. He! He!
