Shake, Rattle, and Roll!

This week Mommy and I received mail from Aunt Michelle, Guenni and Kai. She sent Mommy some birthday presents and I received presents too. Yay! One of my presents was a toothbrush set. It came with 3 toothbrushes: 1 for the teething stage, 1 for when my first teeth are through, and an actual little toothbrush. Here is a picture of me with the "teething" toothbrush. Yummy! My eyes are still big and blue! Mommy hopes that they stay that way.

Mommy's favorite animal is a frog so of course she had to take a picture of me wearing this frog outfit. I am quickly outgrowing it. I've also really enjoyed playing with the ball that Grammy and Pappy got me for Christmas. I can actually hold it in my hands for a few seconds. Ms. Angie also told Mommy that I was picking up toys at daycare today and was throwing them. :-)

The biggest news of all......I rolled over from my back to my stomach 3 times today!!! All of that shaking and wiggling has paid off.

Sleeping routine???

Sleeping routine??? I seem to have forgotten what that is. :-/ The last couple of nights have been somewhat rough. That will explain the delay in new posts on the blog....Mommy has been a bit tired. It started on Thursday night when I woke up at 2 a.m. and decided that would be a great time to just stay up. Saturday was another rough night where I decided that 2:30 a.m. would be a good time to go to bed! Ohhh I will try to do better!

Mommy isn't quite sure if I am teething (I have drooled an awful lot lately and my fingers taste delicious!) or if I had a slight cold(my nose has been rather stuffy). We'll get the routine going again. ;-)

Choo Choo!!!

Like I've said in the past, I am a happy baby for the most part, but I do have my cranky moments. ;-) Daddy discovered a way to calm me down by sitting me in front of his train. I like to follow it around the track and the sound is pretty neat too! The Bumbo seat has helped even more because I can stay occupied all by myself. I enjoyed sitting in it and watching the train today for a good half hour! Mmmmm!! Fingers make a good snack!

So interesting!

Mommy's Birthday Weekend

Yesterday was Mommy's birthday. I tried to be on my best behavior all weekend. ;-) I continue to sleep through the night (knock on wood) and am not really a daytime napper. There is one picture of me sleeping in my swing though.....I tried to give her a little break. We went out to breakfast to celebrate. I was awake the entire time and Mommy had to hold me, but I did a good job at the restaurant. She had a great "birthday weekend". Here are some pictures:

Bilingual at an early age! ;-)

Today was "Snow Day #3" ! It was an optional teacher workday for the teachers and of course this was a no brainer for Mommy....of course she was staying home with me. :-) She decided that she did have to be somewhat productive though and put away all of the clothes that no longer fit me. Goodbye almost all of my 0-3 months clothes!

While she was doing this, I was hanging out in my crib. Mommy put on my German CD, which I enjoyed very much. I tried singing along to all of the songs...don't my coos and gurgles just sound German? ;-) What can I say....bilingual at an early age!

Snow what fun!!!

Today was a "Snow Day" for Mommy and Daddy which meant that I got to spend the day with them. Yay! Of course this was also prime opportunity for Mommy to take lots of pictures. Here are some of our day. :-)

Happy Baby

Lately I have been smiling a lot and am pretty much a happy baby. Mommy has been trying to catch me smiling on video for a while now. Everytime she takes out the camera to take a video though, I get camera shy. It could also be that I can't see Mommy's face anymore. :-) My outfit today must have done the trick because it said "Flowers Make Me Happy".

Here are two videos. They are not the best because Mommy was trying to peek over the camera to make me smile so they are a little wiggly. :-) Enjoy!

3 Months Old!

Mommy cannot believe that I am 3 months old today! Time is going by so quickly and I am growing and changing daily. Here is a look back at my "Weekly/Monthly Growing" and a list of my current "Likes"

I like:

* to lay on my mat and play with the overhead toys that dangle down (especially the frog toy)

* to hear Mommy sing. She doesn't think she's a very good singer but it calms me down. :-)

* to take baths (but I don't like to get out)

* to be snuggled. However, I prefer if the person is standing and is either swaying me back and forth or bouncing me. I can tell the difference if they are sitting down!

* to sleep at night time. We have a good routine going and I get cranky when it's bedtime. I'll sleep anywhere from 8 to 14 hours at night time. 14 hours was a one time fluke but Mommy did appreciate it. Actually she appreciates it every time I sleep through the night.

* to Skype with family and friends. I stare at the movement that I see on the screen but can only be occupied for a short period of time.
