Remembering Opa

Thursday, April 6th marked one year since Opa has been gone. We think about him every day and miss him so much!
Ayla and I went to school that day but Mommy stayed home and spent the day with Oma.
We decided to buy all of his favorite "junk food". Sam and Tabitha had the same idea and had some of his favorites delivered to the house. We even packed all of his favorite snacks for our lunches that day.
I declared April 6th "National Opa Day" - every year, we will buy his favorite snacks, make his stroganoff for dinner, and keep his memory alive.
Love and miss you so very, very much!!
Oma and Mommy drank their coffee out of the
Eat'n Park mugs.

They got Chick-fil-a for lunch.

The Lily flowers are from Mrs. Hicks and
Mrs. Fatzinger.

Sam and Tabitha sent flowers too.

Aunt Michelle had this little cutting board made for
Mommy. It's in Opa's handwriting and it means so
much to us that she had this made.

Mommy made the stroganoff.

We realized that there is a cardinal on the mints that
Opa loved.

This will be our dinner every April 6th.

These are only some of Opa's favorites.
Not pictured: Pepsi and ice cream sandwiches.

Not Mommy's choice of drink, but Oma and Mommy
had some in honor of Opa.

Mommy made some more pillows.
This one is for Nora.

This one is for Kai.

This one is for Aunt Michelle.

This one is for Oma.
