Oma and Opa Visit

Oma and Opa came to visit us on Tuesday and left today. We had lots of fun with them while they were here and have LOTS of pictures to share. I got some extra Oma and Opa time because Ayla still had to go to school. She did have a little bit of an early dismissal and Oma, Opa, and I picked her up from school just a little bit early. Here are all of the miscellaneous pictures that Mommy and Oma took while they were here. We also went to Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens to see the Chinese Lantern Festival and to the Fall Festival and Mommy's school but those two events deserve their very own post. Get ready for lots of pictures........
Early Wednesday morning. We were so excited to see Oma
and Opa!!

I went to the Diner with Oma and Opa.

Ayla got to pick out her birthday present.
She got an ice cream maker. Yum!
Enjoying some chilli (or as you can see I enjoyed the Fritos
Hee! Hee!)

I love this Cheerios book that Oma and Opa
originally bought for Ayla.

We went shopping with Oma and Opa.
As you can see.....we got spoiled with lots
of treats!

Sno-balls....another treat that only grandparents
buy when they are in town and spoil you!

This year I was allowed to help make
Spaetzle noodles.

Taste testing is the best!
We invited BeBe and Pappy over for dinner. We made the
Spaetzle and Opa made chicken stroganoff.

A picture with BeBe and Oma.

A rare picture with all the grandparents.

Our traditional family picture outside.

Our faces look dirty from the face paint at
the Fall Festival.
This picture is for all of our family in Germany.
They recently started opening up Lidl grocery
stores here. Of course, we had to go check it out!

Yum!

This bread cutting machine was fascinating.
Mommy even took a video.....
We had to stop at Aldi too!

We also had to make one more batch of
Spaetzle before Oma and Opa headed back
home.
We had a wonderful time with them here and miss them so much already!! Love you! Wir lieben euch!

Kilwins Birthday Party

On Saturday I had a birthday party at Kilwins with some of my friends. We went to a birthday party there last year and I LOVED it. Everyone got to dip two pretzel rods and one marshmallow stick into chocolate and then decorate them with sprinkles. While we were waiting for the chocolate to cool down, we all got a bowl of delicious ice cream. I chose chocolate.....yum! We had a great time. Here are lots of pictures......
These are the party favors we made for
my friends.

The pumpkin is my finger prints.
Getting an apron and getting ready to
make my chocolate treats.

Ready to go.

Sooooo much fun!

Deciding what ice cream I wanted.

The gang. Hayden had to miss out on the party because he
ran a fever for a couple of days last week.

Hayden and I loved playing with all of the cool presents I got. We had fun making "Oonies"...
Hayden was on the mend and LOVED making
a Kitty Cat out of the Oonies.

I made fish.
Today we invited BeBe and Pappy over for dinner and cupcakes. Mommy had to keep with tradition and make a cupcake tower. This year I requested "Ice cream cupcakes" so Mommy found a recipe on Pinterest and made them. They were chocolate cake on the bottom and then there were 3 different choices of ice cream - mint chocolate chip, chocolate, and vanilla. They were delicious but you had to eat them quickly because they melted fast! That was not a problem. Hee!Hee!

I've had a bunch of birthday celebrations.
Hee! Hee!

Yum!

I had two!!

Here is a collage of all of the past
cupcake towers.
It was such a fun and busy weekend! Stay tuned for more blogs to come. Oma and Opa are coming to visit this week and we are sooooooo excited!!
