Keeping Ourselves Entertained

We had beautiful weather yesterday and spent some time outside cleaning off our outside toys. It was so warm out that we cleaned in our bathing suits.
Cleaning the picnic table. We hope to eat many meals outside while we are
home.

Cleaning all of the toys.

Enjoying a little "cool off" in the water.

I even practiced my floss dance....

We also sorted all of our crayons and used the broken ones to make new ones. Mommy had a fun silicone mold so we made butterflies, ladybugs, and bees.
We sorted the crayons and Mommy cut them into smaller pieces.

Those are the crayons that I made.

Those are Ayla's crayons.

Today we had some fun with all of my stuffed animal dogs (well, we may have missed a few) and made a guessing game of how many are in the picture....

Oops! We forgot one (well probably a few) in the picture.

We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Love and miss you all!

Making the Best of Things

As of Tuesday evening, Mommy and Daddy have officially been working from home. We haven’t left the house, other than to walk Jovie, or play in the yard, and no one has been able to come over.
We are trying to make the best of “homeschooling” and you can imagine that with two parents that are teachers, there is plenty to do. You know Mommy, despite of it all, she keeps taking pictures...
Setting up the "classroom"

Hayden enjoyed breakfast with Daddy in the "bar".

Working diligently.

Daddy set me up on a math website, of course.

Practicing sight words with some "rainbow writing".

Concentrating.

Mommy brought home some of her personal learning materials.

It's a good thing that she saved those file folder games from when she
taught Kindergarten.

There were a few setbacks. It is, after all, a new learning curve.

Mommy made a meme to go along with this picture. This quote is from a
document that she had to sign from the district.

Here is another meme that she saw online and found amusing.

We did manage to get in a two mile run yesterday.

Hayden is still enjoying "lego club" and insisted that we send his club
teacher a picture.

Bedhead and chocolate mouth from his donut.

Today we enjoyed lunch outside.

Popsicles don't go bad, right?

Hayden made a "long toenail" from the Popsicle wrapper.

Another day of learning. Daddy set up the math website for Hayden too.

Mommy made organized notebooks with reading and technology logs.
Always the teacher!

Hayden passed the "ten frame" lesson,

Hayden's teacher had a "Zoom Chat" with her class.
Hayden was so happy!

The notebooks are ready for another day of "homeschooling"....
on Monday! :-)
