Snow Day and Stats

Yesterday Daddy got to stay home with us because it was a "Snow Day". He's home again today too! Ayla and I both loved having him home. We started the day off by snuggling and reading books and then we went outside to explore the snow. Ayla had a great time playing with Daddy. He taught her how to make a snow angel and Daddy and Ayla chased Sidney around the yard.
Mama and Ayla had a "picnic" in the living room to
eat breakfast.

Story time with Daddy.

Smooches from Ayla. I get those a lot!

Snuggling against Mama in the cold.

It's cold!

Oopsie! She fell down and got snow all over her pants.

Ayla warmed up with some delicious hot chocolate
that Aunt Michelle sent from Germany. Yummy!

Ayla and Mama were crafty yesterday and started a hand/foot print alphabet book. I'm still too little to make hand prints but maybe I'll be able do some footprints. It will be a project over the next couple of days/weeks. When they are all done Mama is going to bind the pages for a book. She'll add words to the pages too. Isn't that fun?
Alligator, Butterfly, Crab and Duck.

Yesterday was also my "one month" check up. I officially turn one month old tomorrow. Can you believe it?!? Here are my stats:

Weight: 10 lbs. 14 oz. 81% (4.933 kg.)
Height: 23 inches 98% (54.8 cm.)
Head Circumference: 15.55 inches 98% (39.5 cm.)

Ayla takes her job as "big sister" very seriously. She always helps Mama change my diaper and loves to sing to me. When I sleep on my pillow she'll bring be her baby doll or other toys. Sometimes she is too helpful like when I'm sound asleep and she thinks I need my pacifier and wakes me up. Mama and Daddy are trying to teach her that I only need my pacifier when I'm crying. She loves me so much and snuggles me a lot...
Ayla gave me her baby doll to snuggle with.

Mama's favorite.
Uncle Dave and Mallory get here today and will be here soon. We are going to go meet them and hang out with them. They are here until Sunday so stay tuned for lots more pictures and videos with cousin Mallory!

Snow What Fun!

Wow! I am adding two blogs in one day...I really am a busy guy! As mentioned in the previous post, we were expecting some snow. Now all of my family and friends from up north are going to laugh but these few flurries were a big deal down here in North Carolina. Of course, Mama took the opportunity to take pictures outside in the snow. I am also adding my "4 Weeks Old" pictures to this blog. Can you believe it?!? 4 weeks old already?!?
Bundled up and enjoying the snow with Daddy

Ayla was excited about the snow
and kept checking to see if it was
snowing yet.

Mama and me.

Snuggling up against Daddy...it was cold!

Check out my awesome penguin
outfit that Mama got from one
of her co-workers
"4 Weeks Old" quickly turned into a mini photo shoot. That Mama and her camera!

"Are you sure that I am already
4 weeks old?"

Don't you just want to smooch this face? :-)
Here are also two more videos of me and one of Ayla. That sister of mine LOVES her sit-and-spin!! Mama took a video of her on it today. I don't know how that girl is not dizzy all of the time because she does this all day long!

Keeping Busy!

Mama is loving this "stay at home mom" thing! Between snuggles and feedings and diaper changes and making lunch and cleaning and keeping Ayla busy.....(the list goes on and on. Hee Hee!) she has tried a few Pinterest ideas. Most of them have failed. She couldn't get the salt dough to work to make hand prints, the "easy playdough" was not easy and didn't work, and the photo shoot pictures just cannot be captured. She did have a successful experiment with colored noodles yesterday and we've kept busy other ways. Yesterday it was gorgeous and we took a walk in the neighborhood and let Ayla play at the playground and today we went to the library to check out books and check out story time. Today's story time was songs and singing and dancing. Ayla did not want anything to do with that so we didn't stay long. Here are the latest pictures and videos for an update......
Not the most flattering of me because I yawned
but Mama loves Ayla's beautiful big blue eyes
in this picture.

Daily Dose. :-)

Sidney loves to protect me when I am sleeping.

Snuggling in polka dot pajamas.

Snuggles with Mama.
This is the Pinterest fail. It's supposed to look all cute with the feet making the "v" in love. Eh! A for effort...

Note the awesome colored noodles on Ayla's plate.
Just add food coloring to the boiling water
and you get colored noodles! How fun!
It was 62 degrees yesterday so we took advantage with
a walk to the playground in our neighborhood.

Ayla is a pro at the walk climbing wall.

I got in a super good nap with all of that fresh air.

Ayla had fun sliding....

...and swinging.

Super cute siblings!

Ayla even got to push me in the stroller (but only in
the parking lot by the playground).
Here are some videos of Ayla playing....

Today we went to the library. Mama checked out lots of books to read to Ayla tonight. If I'm not snuggling with Daddy then I might listen too.
My first trip to the library.

The weather here is crazy! Yesterday we were walking to the playground and today they are calling for snow! Daddy actually gets to come home from work two hours early! No signs of snow yet but hopefully we can post a snow blog later. Tomorrow is also my one month check up. Mama thought it was today and luckily she called to double check the time and they told her it was tomorrow. We'll be sure to post my stats....I'm a growing boy!!!
