Celebrating 30!

Mama and Daddy had a few friends over on Saturday to celebrate turning 30 this year. Not only did they turn 30 but our friends Jason and Michele Otto also turned 30. This was great because that meant I had friends to play with too. The Mehall's came over, which meant that I got to see Aubrey and the Brang's came too, with Carson. Yay!
"What, Mama? Are these bottle caps not toys?"
Aubrey and I sure liked playing with them!

Here we are playing with all of my fun toys.

Carson and me!
So Mama recently got hooked on "Pinterest". I'm not even sure how to describe it. It's full of great ideas though. One of these ideas are these Bobbi pins decorated with buttons. Mama was so crafty on Saturday and made me some. We also shared with Aubrey and Baby Girl Brang. :-)

Check out one of my new hair clips.
To "celebrate 30" Mama and Dada invested in a new bedroom set. Good thing because that old bed just was not comfy and there sure wasn't room for me to snuggle in between Mama and Dada. I LOVE the new bed and took a nice long nap on it yesterday while Mama did some school work. Here are some pictures of their new bedroom set.
Check out that comfy bed! I just want to jump up there and
play with Kitty Cat!

Ahhh....playing with my Crosby Kitty!

Here is the view from the other side.
Oh, and check out those shorts! It's not really shorts weather but Mama could not pass them up at
Wal-mart today....$2.50.
Happy Monday to all! :-)

Double Ear Infection!!

As the title of this blog already tells you, I have a double ear infection! Yucky! Mama noticed that I had a fever on Wednesday night. It lasted until today. Mama took two days off of work to snuggle with me and make sure I was feeling better. When the fever still wasn't gone this morning, she took me to see Dr. Malta. I now have to take that yucky pink medicine again for ten days. My fever is gone now and I am starting to act like myself again.
"Mama, why are you taking my picture when you know
that I don't feel good?"

What happened to all of the furniture?

Let me check out what's going on outside.
As mentioned in previous posts....I am stubborn. I like to feed myself and am actually getting pretty good at it. Today Mama made potato soup.
Mmm! Mmm! Good!
Oh, and the reason all of the furniture was gone was because Mama and Dada got their new king size mattress today. The new furniture arrives tomorrow. I loved testing out the new bed!
Oh so comfy!

I love all of the room!
Mama took a video of me eating my soup today. Most of the time I will share my food. Sometimes, however, I will shake my head "no! no!" like you'll see in the video. :)

P.S. Happy Birthday Leonie or I really should say Alles Gute zum Geburtstag Leonie! HDGDL!! :-)

New Friends!

Happy President's Day! Daycare was closed today and Mama and Dada could not take off of work today, so we had to have a back up plan for daycare. Luckily, Mama's friend, Kathy, said that I could hang out at her house today with Lilly and Rachel. Mama and Dada were a bit nervous, because let's face it, I'm not the best with strangers. Little did they know that I really am! :-) It's the whole "out of sight, out of mind" thing. Of course, when Mama is around I want to hang out with her, but really I am a super sweet girl. :-) I had lots of fun with my new friends Rachel and Layla (the dog). I've already had some play dates with Lilly so I already knew her. I liked playing with Lilly's toys (especially her tea set) and I even took a nap for over two hours in her pack and play. Thanks for a great day, Rachel, Lilly and Layla!!!
My new "doga" friend, Layla.
After Mama picked me up, we went for a walk with all of the Wykoff's. They live right by Lake Norman so we enjoyed a stroll by the lake.
Rachel and me. (Not sure what my facial expression is! Hee Hee!)

Lake Norman

I walked most of the walk all by myself.
(Mama didn't trust me near the water)

Hey Lilly! How cute is she in her cow hat?!?

Just hanging out with Layla.

Happy Birthday, Dada!

Happy Happy Birthday, Dada! He turned the big 3-0 today! Mama and I surprised him with a birthday cookie cake and we went out to dinner at Mac's Speedshop with the Otto's. We did not have any cookie cake yet, but I am REALLY looking forward to trying it. :-)

I love my Dada!

Just hanging out at Mac's....

Yummy goldfish crackers!

Hello, close-up!

A family picture. The napkin was much more interesting!

Take two! I was too interested in entertaining the people
who were sitting at the table next to us.
I hope you had a fabulous day, Dada! I love you very very much!

Ouch!

I had my first scary boo boo today. Well, not too scary for me...I was brave. It was a little scary for Mama and Dada at first. Here's the story. We went to Kohl's this morning to buy lots of things (shoes for Dada, baby shower gift, look for curtains, rods, and new bedding). I like to be independent now and like to walk around the store. As we were looking for curtain rods, I tripped and fell right into the display. It looked painful to Mama and Dada.....and it was! I started crying, but not for very long. Like I said, I was brave. I got a scratch right above my eye (see picture below). At first Mama didn't see it, but then the blood started running down the side of my face. The shopping cart with all of the items was shoved aside and forgotten and we went straight to the car. Once Mama was able to wipe the blood off, we saw that it was only a small scratch and we went home. After all of that excitement, I took a nice long snooze in the car.
Ouch!
Before all of this, we met the Otto's for breakfast. Mama shared her chocolate chip pancakes with me! Yum! Yum!
Chocolate mouth!
It was pretty chilly this morning so I wore my hat from my Uroma.
Where's Ayla?

There she is!!!
So Mama and Dada were looking for all that fun stuff at Kohl's today because they are re-doing their bedroom. Dada painted all day yesterday. Here is a sneak peek:
That's still the old bed and bedding.

Just taking a walk with my empty baby stroller checking it out.

One more look at my boo boo! Ouch!

Brusha Brusha Brusha....

I forgot to add one of my favorite "likes" in my last post.....brushing my teeth! Today Mama caught me on video. As Mama was running my bath water, I reached up on the counter, grabbed the toothpaste and toothbrush and started "brushing my teeth".

Super Bowl Sunday

Super Bowl Sunday and other updates.....
Yesterday, we enjoyed watching the Super Bowl with the Otto's. Mama also decided to take lots of pictures of me....here they are:
Mama and me!

I love her!

I love Dada too (even though he shaved all of his
hair off again!)

I'm still loving that stroller and walking around
and around and around...

Close up. Check out those dimples (that are just like
my Dada's!)

Kisses for my Crosby Kitty!

Pssst!! Do you want to play???

Super cool in my shades from Gammy and Pappy.
I've also got to update everyone on my 16 months (yes 16 months...can you believe it?!?!) likes and dislikes:
Current likes: I'm pretty much a creature of habit and still enjoy the same things....eating, chasing Sidney and Crosby, my baby and baby stroller, bath time and splashing the water (I even like to just hang out in the bathroom when it's not bath time and I try to climb in the tub), feeding Sidney her treats, dancing to music, playing with my daycare friends (but sometimes I am not so nice...story to follow "in other news"), and apparently I think it's funny to hit (gently may I add) Mama and Dada in the face.
Current dislikes: Mama using her "stern Mama voice" and saying no when I gently hit her in the face. I really don't see the harm, but Mama and Dada aren't big fans. Oopsie! I still don't like to leave daycare. Oh, and recently I am not a fan of sleeping through the night again. We are still waiting for those top two teeth to come in...so maybe that's it?!? Or it could be the fact that Mama sometimes takes me into the guest room to snuggle....aaaahhh! :-)
In other news: 14 teeth total! I sometimes don't play too nicely at daycare. On Friday, I took my friend's toy and she bit me again. There is a nice "battle scar" on my arm to prove it. Words that I know and say a lot are: Mama, Dada, Doggy (which kindof sounds like Doga), Baby, and Hey! (in my deep raspy voice that I have).
Time sure is flying! Sending everyone hugs and kisses!
